"Shore diving makes it easier to bring divers here. When we bring dive groups, we're 100% vested in the group the entire trip. "The dive shop being on location is huge," Michelle emphasizes.
"As well as the fact that they pick us up at the airport to drop us here. We're not having to make multiple stops; it's a one-stop-shop. As their guests grow older, they are exploring new ways to tailor their trips to accommodate varying abilities and preferences.
"With the clientele getting older, shore diving is becoming more difficult," Michelle acknowledges.
"So, our future plans are doing more private type trips where we can schedule boat dives for the day."
Despite their adventurous spirit that takes them to dive destinations around the world, Bonaire holds a special place in Michelle and Tim's hearts.
"What would you advise other people who would like to come to Bonaire and Grand Windsock?" I asked Michelle.
"Basically, try it," she replies. "The resort is spread out, but it's not so spread out that you get lost. You still feel like you have some privacy to yourself."
"Not being oceanfront might seem like a downside to some," she says, "but trust me, it's a non-issue." She praises the resort's cleanliness, upkeep, and impeccable service, which she describes as "worth millions" when it comes to ensuring a stress-free vacation.
