As of the 1st of July, Bonaire has reopened to tourism. Airspace is open to travellers from the Netherlands, Belgium, Swiss, France and Germany and travellers are free to travel across the island. For the time being, a maximum of 1,000 tourists are admitted per week.

Prepared on holiday to Bonaire

Tested on Covid-19

As of Monday September 7th, travellers from Europe are obliged to hand over a negative Covid-19 PCR test upon arrival. Without a negative test, travellers are required to remain in quarantine at their own expense.
The PCR test has to be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure. It is not possible for travellers to take the test on Bonaire as Bonaire solely performs tests when physical symptoms arise.
Currently there are several commercial test laboratories such as:

KLM Health Services

These laboratories offer PCR tests, however, general practitioners often do too.

Medical insurance

Tourists are required to have travel and accident insurance so they are covered for additional medical costs.

Adjusting and canceling a new booking

Due to the Corona virus, Grand Windsock Bonaire has temporarily changed the cancellation policy. We understand that you might be hesitant to make a booking now. Therefore, all bookings can be changed indefinitely within a year and can also be canceled up to 10 days before arrival.
