Update and last news on the Corona virus

We closely follow the developments on the corona virus and follow the guidelines of the local government and health departments. The well-being of our guests and employees has our highest priority.

What is the current situation on Bonaire?
On Bonaire no one has been diagnosed with a COVID-19 infection so far. As a preventive measure, it has been decided that air traffic will temporarily be paused for all passenger flights from Europe, the US and other countries that are at risk of spreading the corona virus. There is also a prohibition on mooring for cruise ships.

Changing and cancelling new bookings
Due to the Corona virus, Grand Windsock Bonaire has temporarily changed the cancellation conditions. We understand that you may be hesitant to make a booking at the moment. All bookings you make now can be changed indefinitely within a year and can also be cancelled up to 30 days after the entry ban for flights has been lifted by the government of Bonaire and/or the Netherlands.

What to do if you have to cancel your holiday?
If your holiday cannot take place due to the travel restrictions that have arisen due to the Corona virus, you can change your booking to a later moment in time, free of charge. Have you booked through Booking.com or Expedia? Then you can change the booking in your account. Have you made a direct booking? Please contact our reception so we can adjust your booking according to your wishes.
