The always good wind, calm sea and the water temperature of 28 degrees is ideal for windsurfing. Not least thanks to Lac Bay. In this bay protected by coral reefs, windsurfing has been able to grow into one of the most popular watersports on Bonaire. The lagoon is shallow and the wind, which always blows from the sea to the coast, ensures that windsurfers are never blown towards the ocean.

The Jibe City surf center at Lac Bay offers a broad program of lessons for surfers: both individually and in groups. Thanks to the sheltered bay, Jibe City is also very suitable for a surfing holiday with children.

Kite surfing
On Bonaire you will not find mass tourism with high-rise buildings and artificially created, long white-sand beaches. That does not mean that you cannot sunbathe and enjoy the sea here. Bonaire has a rugged unspoilt coast with beautiful natural beaches. Each of these beaches is different. Some have trendy beach clubs and are perfect for people-watching and being seen, while others are quiet, picturesque and loved by families with children.
Kiteboarding with dolphins
Kiteboarders are regularly accompanied by dolphins who swim and dive with them without any fear of people. A very special experience, and unique for Bonaire.
